Mountains aren’t just funny they are Hill Areas
I have been returning to climb Croagh Patrick most years since I was aged 21. It has been a place of salvation and healing for me and my love of the Reek has allowed me to keep my connection with Ireland alive.
I have met many wonderful and interesting people on its windswept paths and have learned much from my fellow climbers. There is a joy to be found on the Reek that is enough to refresh the most weary of souls and soles.
In recent years my visits to the Reek have restored my faith and helped me make sense of where I belong.
